Today I bought a Nikon D300.

I am in love.

That is all I have to say.

In the past few days I've turned 18 years old.
And today I got my drivers license on the first attempt.

But sadly my computer is dead and being fixed so I'll have it back any day now.
That is the reson why I haven't been online.

Long time since I updated my journal. I guess lazyness plays a big part...

Anyhow, I've been on a 2-week-trip around Sweden with my family. I've seen almost every inch of it, and it has amazed me.
When I got back from the trip I had somewhere over 1200 pictures. And after editing and such there were about 300 good ones. I haven't taken the time to put them here yet, but I will start uploading them this week.

So here it is, my second year at deviantART has passed, and I've now entered the third (with lots more to come).
I just bought a tripod, as stated in the latest deviation at the time of writing this.
So I am more than eager to test it in all different ways possible!

Also, I have come up with some ideas what my third-year-project will be. But that will remain a secret until next year. Hah!

On May 14th, 2007, I joined deviantART.
I was 15 years old with no knowledge at all in photography.
During that year, I posted maybe one or two deviations, drawings if I recall correctly. Very poor ones too.

But in the fall of 2008 I discovered photography. I'd never before had so much fun with a piece of electronic creation.
So I ordered a Nikon D60 with the kit lens on my very birthday.
I was thinking I wouldn't have to buy a new camera or lens for at least 3 years because of this new one.
Ha ha ha!

Now, almost a year later, I've spent approximately 14.000 kr (which is around 1700 USD) on my beloved camera, and now I save my money for a D300.

Anyhow, what I intend to say is that on May 14, 2009, I've been a member here for 2 whole years.
In the last year I've gained so many new friends and got tons and tons of feedback on my art.

I know my 2nd anniversary will be great. So a BIG thank you to all of you who have commented and faved my art. And of course to all my watchers and friends too.
I hope you love deviantART as much as I do.
It's by far the absolutely best online community in the world.
No doubt about it.
